How can we, as educators, navigate AI in the classroom and beyond? And how can we teach young students to do the same? Critical AI literacies position educators and students as empowered and active decision-makers around generative AI technologies. This course offers engaging and age-appropriate strategies for introducing elementary students to critical AI literacies.
In this course, you will:
- Gain an understanding of three subjects in critical AI literacies: generative AI’s effect on the environment, algorithmic bias, and AI-generated misinformation.
- Experience three activities designed for elementary students that explore these topics.
- Receive materials for replicating the activities in your classroom.
