There is robust evidence that social emotional learning (SEL) increases students’ capacity to learn and reduces behaviors and factors that interfere with academic and personal success. The TRAILS SEL curriculum equips classroom teachers to deliver evidence-based and developmentally appropriate lessons rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. This course provides educators with an overview of this curriculum, its theoretical foundation, and best practices for effective SEL delivery.
